Our new name reflects deepening mission to promote flourishing in life, career, and society through transformational education
The Coalition for Transformational Education, a national group of forward-thinking colleges and universities, is proud to announce its new name: the LearningWell Coalition. This name change marks an exciting evolution of the Coalition’s mission and identity as it continues to grow its network and impact across higher education.
The LearningWell Coalition is a growing network of colleges and universities dedicated to transformational, evidence-based, learner-centered education that promotes flourishing in life, career, and society. Since its founding in 2017, the Coalition has grown to include 35 member institutions representing a diverse cross-section of higher education, including public and private universities, liberal arts colleges, community colleges, and faith-based institutions.
“The new name reflects both who we are and the continued desire to expand our reach and impact,” said Keith Buffinton, Executive Director of the LearningWell Coalition. “Our members share the belief that higher education should equip students not only for success in the workforce, but for meaningful, engaged lives. The LearningWell name captures this broader vision of flourishing across life and society.”
Along with the name change, the Coalition is expanding its programming and outreach through:
- A growing suite of learning communities and workshops
- The continued development of its publication, LearningWell magazine
- A robust thought leadership platform, including webinars, events, and national convenings
- Assessment tools and best practice sharing across institutions
