The Gallup Purdue Index, “the first measure to evaluate the long-term success of graduates in their pursuit of great jobs and great lives,” is published.

Twenty leaders from colleges and universities nationwide gather to review and interpret Gallup data, forming what would become The Coalition for Transformational Education, the LearningWell Coalition’s original name.

A Founding Document is drafted to articulate purpose and necessity of the Coalition.

The first annual Leaders’ Meeting of the Coalition is held, featuring a presentation by Dan Porterfield, President and CEO of The Aspen Institute. The Leaders’ Meeting remains a central, annual event for the Coalition.

The Coalition hosts its first Annual Conference virtually, featuring presentations by Laurie Santos, Yale University psychology professor and happiness researcher, and Jonathan Lee Walton, social ethicist and President of the Princeton Theological Seminary. Annual Conferences have been held every year since.

LearningWell Magazine, a digital publication covering issues at the intersection of higher education and lifelong wellbeing, is launched. The magazine continues to publish new articles and podcasts weekly.
