Our Rationale

Recent research shows that specific college experiences—such as emotionally supportive mentoring and opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world problems—promote lifelong wellbeing and work engagement. Strong evidence demonstrates that these experiences foster identity development, belonging, agency, and purpose, which in turn enhance wellbeing throughout life.

Our History

In response to this research, a diverse coalition of colleges and universities formed to address a unifying question: if the impact of these experiences is so profound, how can we ensure that students on every campus have opportunities to access them?
